Uninsured driver hit my vehicle!?

An uninsured driver came right out into rush hour traffic and hit my vehicle. The police were called and the cop acted as if he didn't want to be bothered with the accident. The driver a 19 yr old girl said her mom let her hold the car. The cop ran her info and said she had insurance. After calling my insurance, I was told that the driver in fact never had insurance. The vehicle involved hasn't been insured for over 2 years. Obviously the cop just told me anything to get out of writing a police report. My insurance which covers Uninsured collision said that the actual owner hangs up the phone every time they call. I'm now stuck with a 500$ deductible and rental car fees, with my insurance rate possibly going up. I'm trying my hardest not to just drive to the owners house and just slaughter the vehicle. How can I possibly be repaid for all the trouble that some bad uninsured driver caused.

Car Insurance Claim Help? On the 4/7/2011 I was at a set of traffic lights that was (RED) of my way to the shops. As the lights went green I begin to move off slowly as I did another car came from the left of me and tried to turn right as he speed up he crashed into the drivers side of the car. He clearly jumped a red light (Clearly Seen on CCTV). I was in total shock at the time! After he crashed into my car he went to drive off by reversing, I jumped out of my car to stood in his was so he could not drive off the witness behind me called the police while I was stopping his from driving off he started to drive forwards trying to me me out the way. After the driver spoke to the police on the phone, he then gave me his Name, Phone number and Insurance information. The next day I called my insurance company they was vary helpful and I believe the clam would be settled in my favor as I had CCTV of the crash as I had a camera inside of my car and a witness that was behind my car at the time of the crash. After nearly 4Months I have now revived a letter stating that the claim has been closed on a Without Prejudice Basis. When I contacted Aviva to see what the 3rd party has not accepted full liability they said it was dealt with like this as the 3rd party who crashed into me was not responding to and calls or letters that have send him. Aviva did not asked to see the CCTV of the crash and did not take into account the witness statement. WHAT CAN I DOOO??

Hello, I am a grad student with no income currently. I'm signing up for covered ca for an individual plan. It is asking for number of people in household, do I just put one for myself or am I supposed to write all family members even though it is for an individual plan? My friend owns a 06 Suzuki GSXR750, it was his first bike, and he is a fresh bike rider also. But his full coverage is only $120/month. While searching online (geico, Progressive, allstate), I find out that the full coverage for the bike itself is $487/month-which I found strange. Because I'm older than my friend, he's 22. I understand that you need full coverage(collision, comprehensive coverage) when you're financing a bike. My friend is also financing the bike. But how come his full coverage is way cheaper than what I've searched for? I also picked the $500 deductible on Comprehensive and Collision too. But the lowest I got was $487/month-if not $880/month. Financed a car- car insurance went WAY up?

My husband and I recently sold our old car and financed a used low mile 2007 ford fusion. Our car insurance previously was around 60 dollars a month, now it's over $200.00. The reason our rate increased was our finance company requires certain insurance (comprehensive and collision) that we didn't have before. My question is, do we have to keep this insurance on the car throughout the financing period? They sprang this little tidbit on us right before we signed. We tried to get financing three weeks ago and suceeded, but the person working with us went out sick with swine flu and no one from the bank let us know. We ended up calling last week and they put us with someone else/ It put us in a time crunch since my husband was leaving for Naval OCS the next day. If we have to pay it, it's not a big deal, but we're a young couple and it's money we could be putting towards our student loans.

I'm at the age of buying a first car, and was just wondering what would suit me... Currently, I drive an automatic Kia Sedona(Automatic) along with a Toyota Tacoma (Manual). I'm alright with cars and mechanics in general, and I'd like to modify my first car a bit. (Ex. Turbo, engine swap?, etc). Not a lot but just to a point of understanding cars more. Here are a list of must haves: -Price!! 2-5k please! -0-60 in under 7( preferably stock ) -More than 20 mpg -Cheap insurance ( Old car? Maybe 90's?) -Manual transmission -Aftermarket parts!!! Must have a wide range that are plentiful! And pllllleeeeeaaaseee don't say anything with a 4-cyclinder unless it's truly the best option!
